    2016 Imagine 2600RB purchase concerns

Looking at a 2016 Imagine 2600RB. Have a couple concerns with it that I wanted to run by you guys. This would be my first TT purchase.

First concern is the floor. It feels spongy. Like they used really thin sub-flooring to the point where I can tell where each cross beam is. They guy said the dealer told him it was normal for this specific model (He bought it used about a year ago)

2nd concern is the front panel. There are some waves near the top. Can't tell if it is just minor warpage or if the panel is de-laminating.I tried to take pics but not sure if they will help. The rubber strips that run along the leading edge are falling off and held on by packing tape.

The interior looked good for the most part. Has 1 year old Goodyear tires. The front passenger side storage access door is bent and would probably need to be replaced. Might need new seals around the slide although there was no indication of leakage.

He is asking $14K for it.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Why is he selling? The floor part sounds fishy. You can see the floor if you remove the access panel on the shower or if you pull the kitchen drawers out. If you get serious about it you might consider looking at those floorboards and making sure it hasn’t been wet.

    Please ignore the upside pic.

He says they are adopting 3 kids and will be moving up to a 5th wheel later this year.

Hard to tell with the pics, but it looks like signs of delamination on the front. Unless it's an awesome deal, I'd stay away from it. I see hes asking $14k, might want to see what comparable prices are for that model and year.

Yep - I would stay away unless you like involved projects. I'm not saying there are issues, but it sure sounds like there are

After searching a lot more on the forum, I think the floor issue is the OSB breaking down. It felt like 1/8 plywood with how much flex there was from front to back of the trailer.
And the cost to replace the front cap just makes it not worth it.
I only have a couple weeks before the trailer is needed so wouldn't even have time to do the repairs if I wanted too.
Thanks for the replies. I will continue to look for another GD.

I think you're making the right choice. You really have to wonder why you would be the 3rd owner of a 2016 RV, it's not that old. Depending on your budget, maybe you can get a good deal on a last years model that is still on a dealers lot. At least you will have peace of mind knowing that you arent inheriting someone else's problems.

Just an additional word to the wise. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't right for you. There's a reason you felt like you should ask questions on here. As DW says - When she get's "that feeling" she stops to ponder a bit. Except when she married me...
