    Trade In Value?

We are starting to look at toy haulers and are looking forward to seeing some of Momentums new floor plans.
We have looked at a few toy haulers from other makers and one the problems that we are running into is that dealerships are having a problem giving us a value on our trade-in, since Grand Design/Solitude is so new and there isn't any resale history. Has anyone traded theirs in yet? We haven't been back to Texas yet (we are full timers), but are hoping to get some help/advice from them next spring.

I sold the very 1st Solitude 369RL we got in, and then a year later, traded the same one in on the very 1st 379FL we got in.

You don't need to rely on NADA for a value, as they should know what they are paying for a new one.

What we did is took actual cost of a new one, and deduct 20% for being a year old.

I agree with huntr70, we lost about 20% when we traded our 380TH in for a 379FL.

I’ll make it real simple. 50% off MSRP the first year in trade in value. Then 5% every model year for the next 5 years - then “market price” after that.
For example - MSRP was $100,000. First year trade in value would be $50,000. Thats not that bad - hopefully the first buyer got it for around 25% off of MSRP so the seller is down $25K, ($100,000 - $50,000=$50,000). Thats why one posted says he only lost 20%. It’s in the ball park.
If it was financed add an additional 5-8% to your loss. You have been paying interest payments during that time you had it.
