where to mount Generator?
Lots of 4"tube Camper RV Bumper Hitch Fits 4-Inch Beam, 2-in Receiver, 3,500 lbs. The problem I see is that the bumper it is attached to is only rated for 150lbs by GD? Where do you keep your generator? I prefer to leave it outside somewhere, locked to something of course, in the rear of the trailer for sound (it is 65 db), but also have seen some keep it in the bed of the truck, with a Tonneau cover open while in use, closed when not. Advice for a newbee please....

Does your trailer have a factory receiver?

On our Imagine 2650 I moved the spare tire under the frame. That picked up some bumper space & weight. I made a platform & mount for my Honda 2000 generator and also added a box to store the wheel chocks & leveler blocks.

I mounted a Curt receiver to the frame on my 303RLS for a bike rack. Probably pretty involved for your situation since the truck bed can be used.
What camping style? Are wanting something for regular boondocking or quick overnights with the truck hooked up? Run the trailer generator overnight or just during the day to recharge batteries?
The negative to leaving it in the truck while you are connected would be the generator being close to you while sleeping.John & Kathy

Mostly hooked up but for those boon docking occasions. Its not like these things are stolen while we sleep, right? Guess I could put it some 15 ' away from the bed area....? How do others handle this, generally speaking, I dont think many mount a receiver...

Did this for our "baby" trailer...Works great, and my wife and I can load the Honda without issue (first into truck bed, then onto platform.) I later changed out the plastic propane tank cover to a vinyl one that allows me to remove it and the tanks without taking the platform off.

The Stromberg Carlson rack is very tempting. The Honda 3000 ain't bad either.
Since we have a Microair EZ-Start we could mount the 2500 Westinghouse genny and 2.5 gals of gas on the rack... no problem. But, I just lost a few 5ers in the market, money may be tight for "fun" upgrades.Jeff and Mary
