5er Bike Rack
I have researched the Fat Tire ebike rack market and have found most tire holding bike rack for the fat tire ebikes are prohibited for use on TTs and fifth wheel RVs. I have a Overdrive Sport 2-Bike 2" Hitch Mounted Rack and am wondering what I need to beef up in order to use it on my Reflection 26RL 5er. Any help is appreciated.

I'm currently looking at roof mounts. they make them for trucks and are a lot more safer than putting a bike rack on the rear of an RV. I've had a very bad experience transporting a bike on the rear.

I certainly can understand that as the whipping action on the rear of any TT or 5er has to be tremendous. I would like to know if you have the bikes tied down well is there something about the rack that can fail or is it the bikes can be thrown off?

Swagman Dispatch, Escapee or E-Spec are good. May need the accessory tire holders.
The problem with most racks is the joint where they fold. The Swagman racks don’t fold, and they use a bolt rather than a pin to lock into the receiver.
I have the Dispatch, and can see the tops of our comfort bikes in my rear view camera. So far been very impressed with how little they move on the road.John & Kathy

Fat tire E bikes gotta be whoa heavy. I think putting them on the rear of a TT or 5th wheel would be dangerous. I use to put our mtn bikes on a Yakima roof rack held down by the tires. Worked well for years even in strong cross wind. I now have a receiver on the front & put a rack & the bikes on it. Put the road bike on the bed in the trailer.

Ditto - I've seen too many destroyed bumpers in campgrounds with two "regular" bikes. E-bikes are HEAVY, even without the battery. Bike racks for them have to be pretty rare...let alone one rated for RV use.....I would never put mine in a non-rated rack. That's a LOT of $$ to drag down the road.
ALWAYS download the instructions for the specific rack you are looking at, before buying. Most of the time that is the only place you will get info about whether they are rated for RV use, or not.
Mine go in the bed of the truck. The advantage of a TT.2017 Imagine 2670MK
