    Nautilus Retractable shower door

Hi everyone...we have a 2020 GD Imagine 2970 which we are very happy with...been aboard this coach for 5 months but full timing 10 plus years...we have Nautilus retractable shower door which we really like...well until it stated to slam shut...just standing in shower enjoying the hot water never touched the screen...has this happened to anyone else and is there a trick or do we modify some sort of hook...

I'm suprised no other Imagine owners have replied. We have no experience with those types of shower doors but hope this bump up helps find you some answers.

Yes! Same problem. No solution. Workaround, though... We ended up using the top rail and getting a traditional shower curtain and rings.

We haven’t had a problem with the door coming unlatched, but ours kept popping open where it rolls up. The little access panel to the roller kept popping open. A drop of super glue top and bottom seems to have fixed the problem, at least until we head home.

We have a 2018, 2970 RL, have not experienced the shower door opening by itself, but I'm just waiting for that to happen for some reason.

The little access door on the other hand, yep, having a problem with that. Not sure what I'm going to do to fix that. The whole shower door assembly seems chintzy but I like it.

Hello, I just picked up a 2021 imagine 23BHE and haven't even used it yet, but I am experiencing the same problem. I stand in the shower, pull the door shut, but it doesn't really latch well (the little tab) and the slightest movement, not even touching the door will cause it to slam open (retract). Is there something I am missing? I can't see how it can latch very well, its just a small tab on the handle. We are hoping to take a shakedown trip soon, and I think I will have to at least take a shower curtain with us, unless I can get it to shut better.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Our solution was to go to Lowes and we purchased a sliding glass door lock..we mounted this on inside of shower..close shower door drill a hole through the metal and outside frame..install pin...in an emergency this pin can be pushed in from the outside...no more slamming open...Michael and Mary Ellen...2020. 2970 RL

We've experienced the same issue with the shower door slamming shut multiple times while showering due to a poor latch design. Our solution was to add small marine rope loops with stainless hardware and use a gear tie to close it. We keep the gear tie on the wall side and then wrap it around the door side when showering. See pics below of install, parts, and receipt from lowes showing cost. Ignore the carabiner, that was for something else.

Very interesting. I installed one in our Momentum 31G. We love it. Never had any issue with it retracting on it's own. I'm sure it probably will now that I said that though. lol...
