    Dual pane windows

Looking at specking out a 397th. Are the dual pane windows worth it ? For those of you that have them, how do you like them ?

The will offer sound deadening and prevent condensation from forming on them.

They are not a "thermo" pane window like in a house.

The dual pane windows in our 2020 Solitude 310 are labeled "Insulated Window." In addition to the sound barrier and condensation benefits mentioned above, we have noticed a significant difference in temperature over the single pane windows that were in our Reflection. Getting dual pane windows was one of our main reasons for upgrading our rig (we're full-timers and plan to be for the foreseeable future).

I am in the pro-dual pane window aisle. We winter at ski resorts. Any extra insulation I can find is a plus for us. Weight is a subject for conversation, I didn't notice it. I do have one window that is showing internal condensation, that will need some work this summer, maybe replacement. It's a dual pane window issue. For me, all pros and cons weighed, I like my dual pane windows and will order them for my next RV should that happen.

They're heavy and expensive. But if you camp in the far north or the southwest they may be warranted.

I live in the Mid South and our temperatures are not extremely uncomfortable. We're okay with the stock windows.

I have had one of my duel pain windows go bad and moisture got inside the window. I just wonder how good these windows in RV's are going down the road with all the flex and jarring from all the beautiful highways.

My BIL and I both have 376s'. I have DP windows and he does not. The difference in weight between the 2 units is only 250 lbs according to the weight tickets supplied by GD at delivery. That said we like the DP windows and would buy them again. When camped together in colder weather my BIL's unit will have condensation on the windows while ours never does. Our unit is quieter than his. Ours is also warmer.

We ordered our 303 with dual-pane. During the first few trips, we noticed that the two largest were hard to open/close. I took it in for warranty work, and they ordered and installed replacements for the one above the sofa and the one above the recliners.

After I got it home, I noticed that the replacements were single-pane. I called and they have ordered the right windows, and they will be replaced, again, when we return from our current six-week trip. We left PA and the snow, and are traveling down the east coast to Savannah. There have been several chilly mornings, and we have noticed a lot of condensation on the single-pane windows, while there hasn’t been any on the dual-pane.

I don’t think that I would want another trailer that didn’t have the dual-pane windows.
