I believe the "adapter rails" was a temporary solution between the ISR Bed Rails (that I had in my 16 2500) and "Puck Feet". I had to order the adapter rails for my "18" 3500, they mounted to the the puck system in the truck bed, but raised the hitch 2" and I couldn't close my bed cover without removing the hitch head. It wasn't until May of 2019 did they have the puck feet available for the PullRite Hitches.

Joe - yes, I learned that too when I talked with Pullrite a couple years ago on my way to look at and test drive a 2017 Chevy. Pullrite has shorter feet available to lower the hitch about 1 1/2" as I recall to offset the increase in hitch height when installing the adapter rails.
Our hitch has the longer mounting feet so that would have been an option to lower our hitch to still fit under the cover and not raise the pin as well. Depending on when the superglide was produced it may have the long or short feet.
The long and short feet are listed on the Pullrite site and can be purchased from them.
