    Fan running in basement area

So we stopped at a park 2 days ago and after getting set up I noticed a what appears to be a fan running at low speed in the basement area behind the nautilus panel. I've never noticed it before. I unplugged and it's still on so obviously its 12v.
Any ideas? Nothing is on. No furnace. Nothing.

    Thanks for the help.

My guess is the Converter.........not the inverter, unless of course he has an inverter too.......then it's a coin toss.

Well, here’s where I pulled my guess from

Their rig is a 344GK-R, which I assume has a residential refrigerator from the model number. Also, the fan keeps running after shore power is removed. My hypothesis is the inverter has been running while on the road and is warm so the fan is running.

    But, like I said, it’s a guess!

That was it! Thanks for the help. I had never heard the fan before but we normally Park near a lot of road noise. Should I turn the inverter off when I'm parked/plugged in? Itsbeen on since I bought the unit in Dec but this was our 1st big trip - 2 days, Louisiana to Tampa.

I would turn it off. You only need the inverter if you want to run the fridge from batteries when not plugged into shore power. Of course, you may then hear the converter :-)

The hard part is to remember to turn ON the inverter before unplugging and moving. KEN
