Trivial things that annoy me on the site.
Maybe it is my Virgo kicking in but I cringe when I see obvious spelling mistakes and even worse when they are in the title. There is a magic underlline that tells you when there is a problem and a preview no less. Do people not care?

It's just spellin'.
When the person with the bad spelling saves you a ton of money or helps you figure out something important; the spelling won't be a big deal. KENBackpacker and tent camper all my life, including BSA as a kid and adult.

I really like this thread. It kind of exemplifies why we’re all here and what we’re all about. I’m sure there are plenty of us here who are able to edit/correct grammar and spelling, but we all seem to make a cognizant choice to attend to each other’s meaning instead. Me? I just tend to chalk it up to fat fingers and tiny keys. Nice exchange guys!

Does this mean I have to fix my user name??
On edit..... I think folks who don’t use paragraphs bug me more than spell-‘in. But whatever, we’re all havin’ fun.Last edited by traveldawg; 03-17-2020 at 10:09 AM.

Spelling errors bug me as well, but not that much unless it's my error.
However, in reference to a manufacturer (RV or truck), I cringe with every post stating, the manufacturer "gives" you _____. Not one of these manufacturers "gives" us anything. There is no such thing as a free lunch. We pay for everything coming across as "free". It doesn't matter if it's a standard feature or an "extra" such as a rally, a website to share information, customer service center, or additional help to obtain dealer service.
Personally, I'd prefer better quality parts and manufacturing to anything "free" that's "given" to us. If the quality parts and quality manufacturing are there, we should have less need for the "free" to be "given". Every manufacturer (GD, GM, FCA, Ford, Nissan, and Toyota) must calculate their total costs and price their product to ensure those costs are covered and then add some profit or they won't survive. Bottom-line: if it costs them anything, we will pay for it.Last edited by Sarge33Army; 03-17-2020 at 10:46 AM.

Spelling doesn't bother me near as much as poor or missing punctuation. Although every time I post I read it for spelling errors AFTER I post it then edit it. Usually quite a few times in a several sentence post. As said above - for whatever reason it's the haste to get it posted.
