Recent God Sam Towing Insurance Feedback

I am in the process of evaluating the above tow insurance and would appreciate any recent experience with the service, good or bad.

    Thank you in advance.

I have Roadside assistance - if that's what you're asking about. Sorry, but I am glad to say I have never used it, and hope I didn't just jinx myself... I do know that I just got a letter the other day moving me to the Premium package because they will not tow 5ers under the standard package any more.

Have had it for years and have used it enough that it's paid for itself+. No complaints.

Maybe read the feedback on their own forum?

We have it. Haven't used it in years (last time was in '95). We've had FMCA and Coach Net also too but never used them.

I'm thinking of rejoining FMCA as my GS Roadside expires in May (don't think I'm going to need it anytime soon anyway). I think FMCA 's plan might be less expensive.

I didn't know about GS requiring Premium now to tow a fifth-wheel. Probably the nail-in-the-coffin for them from me.

I just signed up for Good Sam Roadside assistance for 3 years and a considerable discout, which is in place until the end of March. I don't understand the previous comments about not covering 5th wheels as it clearly does of the Standard +RV package. The picture is from their current brochure.

I I just checked out the GS website, and Standard+RV shows as being covered.

Guess I'll have to call them and find out the scoop. As John says - got my new upgrade cards and the letter in the mail last week.

Received the same letter with the complimentary upgrade to Platinum.
"Due to the specialized tow equipment necessary to provide roadside assistance to Fifth Wheels, we can no longer provide coverage for Fifth Wheels under our standard Good Sam Roadside Assistance program. Instead, coverage for Fifth Wheels will be provided under our Platinum Roadside Assistance program."

Then I went to their website for Standard Auto + RV roadside assistance they're selling where it shows:
Your Owned Towable ✝︎ Recreational Vehicle (RV):
Fifth Wheels, Travel Trailers and Toy Haulers
    Pop-up Camping Trailers

So I thought they were just trying to get me enrolled in a higher cost plan for my next renewal.
