    Towing behind 5th wheel

I did a couple searches and nothing came up.

This trailer has got me thinking I could possible tow a Side by Side behind my 303RLS.
Anyone have any experience or even thoughts on the trailers offered?
If this has already been discussed here please post the link to the thread. Thanks.

I'll also point out that you can't do in California unless are under a maximum total length requirement (65 feet in CA, including front and back bumpers). There a some states that allow it, and others don't.

    Thanks livinthelife! Great reading.
The link I posted in a different kind of trailer, it's more of an extension to the 5th wheel. My total length is ~52', with a 10' to 12' trailer I should be under 65'.
Right now I'm researching and when I saw the FreedomHauler on Trailer Life it really got me thinking about a Side by Side or aluminum boat.

That is an interesting approach. I have not seen an "extension" like that before. Thanks for sharing.

I called the CHP today and they informed me I would need a Noncommercial Class A license to pull a second trailer. I also found out I need an endorsement to pull my 303RLS because it's over 10k GVWR.
Looks like I'll need to take a trip to DMV.

Yes, a lot of people aren't aware of the 10K+ endorsement requirement.

We were, that's one reason we went with our little 26RL (9,998 lbs loaded).

    What does the endorsement involve?

We met a person at a dealer that pulled in with one of those type trailers attached to his Reflection . It intrigued me so went over to take a look.
We chatted for a bit and he said loves it and has had no issues after using it for 2 years hauling a motorcycle. But he did comment on putting good tires on it.

The document has conflicting information in it so when you download read all of it.
    Recreational Vehicles and Trailers Handbook

This is about 3/4 of the way down.

    RECREATIONAL TRAILER ENDORSEMENT
A driver must have a fifth-wheel recreational trailer endorsement added to his/her Class C driver license to pull a fifth-wheel recreational trailer
over 10,000 lbs., but not over 15,000 lbs. GVWR, which is not used for hire. This endorsement is not required if the driver has a commercial or noncommercial Class A driver license.
To obtain an original ffth-wheel recreational trailer endorsement—
    Adults must:
    • Complete an application for a driver license (DL 44).
    • There is no fee unless your license expires within six months.
    • Pass the Recreational Vehicles and Noncommercial Class A Trailers law test.
    • Pass the basic Class C law test, unless you renewed your Class C license within the last 12 months.
    • Pass a vision test.
    • You are not required to submit a Health Questionnaire or Physician’s Health Report.
    • You are not required to take a pre-trip, skills, or driving test to add a Recreational Trailer endorsement to your current license.

    Minors must:
    • Complete the items listed above.
    • Meet the additional requirements listed in the California Driver Handbook in the Provisional License section.

You'll have to count on this list, but I think it's about 14 states that have special driver's license requirements for singles and combos over specified GVWR limits. Many of us full-timers who are domiciled in Texas have to have what Texas calls a "Non-Commercial Class A Exempt" driver's license. In TX, that involves studying part of the CDL handbook, taking a written test, and taking a driving test with your rig. The requirements in terms of singles, combos, and GVWRs for each state are in this link:
