    Moisture under mattress in slideout

We just finished a month long trip in our 2020 Momentum 25G. The bed is in a slideout. Part way through the trip, we realized when it was colder outside than inside condensation occurred under the mattress which sits in the slideout. Just wondering if anyone has figured out a a solution for this problem.

Not cheap, but effective and necessary:

We have used for going on five years, now (with a residential foam mattress).

    Powells,

Had the same problem with my 21G. Purchased one inch foil covered foam board. I cut 8 inch wide strips for each side wall and an 8 inch strip for the back wall slightly longer than needed to wedge in and hold the side wall pieces in place. Then cut out the larger piece for the bottom of the slide slightly larger than needed to wedge in and hold the pieces on the side wall. This was about 90% effective with outside temp of 37 deg.

I noticed moisture after our trip last october where the night temperatures were around 22 degrees. Looks like a good product to get for the bed. It did not rain, so I know the moisture was not due to a leak

For my fellow engineers, get yourself a section of geonet or geocomposite drainage layer with textile on one side. For my camping friends, go to a quality building supply and ask for foundation drain board. This will either be the aforementioned geonet or a cuspated plastic. Lay on the bed platform and then the mattress on top. The material serves as an air gap venting layer. I'll post a picture later when I get a chance to take a photo of the material.
