Loss of AM/FM Signal
I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. I have a Furrion stereo with a Furrion TV in the main room. I first took it out this past Christmas weekend for a shake down trip. The radio seems to get decent reception (at least where we were camped). However, when I plugged into the campground's cable, I lost all reception. I did get a couple of stations, but they sounded more like the audio for TV than radio Has anyone heard of this? I tried setting it to coaxial to no effect. I would like to have something to tell the dealer when I drop it off for the post trip checklist to do list. There were a couple other little things that needed to be cleared up also, like mis-labeled cable connections and sewer gate valves (THAT was interesting!).

I don't know how this might tie in, but we have found that we have to turn off the FTA TV antenna booster, to get FM radio reception. I don't recall ever trying FM radio with cable connected. Does anyone know where the Furrion FM antenna is located ?

In our Reflection 337, the AM/FM Stereo antenna is the TV antenna through a splitter. That is why the TV antenna booster affects the signal.
If the AM radio quits receiving when the shore power is connected, something is causing interference with the radio, likely the charger portion of the converter. To test, after the shore power cable is attached and everything working on the pole except the AM, flip the breaker on the controller/charger to shut the battery charger off and see if the AM comes back.George and Connie

Thanks for the input. The problem isn't when we are connected to shore power, but when we are connected to the campgrounds cable TV system. And yes, the antenna booster is shut off at that time. And finding out that the Stereo is combined with the TV. Is interesting.

Sorry, I misread your first post. I have never had the radio and TV on at the same time, but as I recall from my initial trip and checking out the radio, I think I had to have the booster on to get decent reception. I would do an experiment and see if that is the case, booster on for radio, and off for cable. I know it needs to be off for cable.

Apparently the radio uses the same antenna. We turn on the antenna booster for better radio reception.

Thanks for the input. Next time I'm out and cable TV is available I'll try using the radio with the booster on. Hopefully I'll remember to turn it off for the TV (I doubt it.).
