I'm kinda itching to get out to the "backyard campground" for a few nights at least. The recent waves of severe rainy days and freezing nightly temps that are not usual for this time of year have me stymied. Maybe next week things will look up!

Backyard Park Campground opened today. Rain cleared out early, it's mild, not quite warm with nicer weather coming in the next four or five days. I have the generator hooked up trying things out. Opened the slide and awning to air them out. TV, A/C and 'fridge are doing ok so far. Ongoing RV care and maintenance.....I found the microwave was never installed right and had to redo the screws holding it in from the top. I have new lug nuts to put on as well as the covers on the OEM are cracking and bulging. I have a few 12Vdc computer fans and a temperature controller I got off the 'bay to install on the back side of the 'fridge.

Did buy the stainless cap style agin? If so where did you find them? My Acadia and my camper will need them soon.

I found a set of 24 Gorilla chrome lug nuts on the 'bay. For the trailer #41188 1/2-20 bulge acorn 3/4 nut. I got a set of Gorilla nuts last winter to replace the stainless capped nuts on my F150. They were beginning to bulge from dealer's impact guns. They are a reasonable cost replacement and will hold up. You could check Rock Auto for your vehicle too.

18 wide by 36 long. Camper is 13 wide with both slides out, so, little over 2 ft clearance on each side.

I really want a carport similar to yours. Soon when I save a bit more money and know my job is still secure.

With my weekend camping trip getting canceled and having already taken vacation time from work I decided I wasn't going to let all this stop my camping adventure.

So I made my own campsite in the backyard. 30 Amp service, water hookup and a strong wifi signal. No way to drain the black water so I'll take that type of business in the house. I am willing to drain gray water into the woods since they are my woods. I do think if I went to an rv park and had a campsite like this I'd be pretty happy (as long as it had sewer hookup). Going to take my vacation in the back yard this weekend. Check it out. Even a decent view from under the awning.
