    Awning only partially retracts

2018 Solitude 384GK. Awning was extended for the day, and when retracting it only pulled in about a foot or two. Can extend all the way, but only partially retracts. The arms are fine. Even with no tension on the canopy (two of us holding the arms in a bit) the motor just stops after about a foot!!! Pulling fuse didn’t help.

I was able to extend it all the way out and let it keep going so now it is fully retracted but inside out.

Is it a bad motor? It makes more than one revolution why would it just stop in only one direction not the other?

It’s a carefree longitude model. No manual crank, no adjustments that I could find.

    Help?

Check the arms for stray items that could be resting in there causing it to bind. We had a simular situation once and found an acorn sitting at just the right spot to stop the awning from rolling up

Also check all the connections in the arms and at the motor. Could be loose making intermittent contact.
