Bad Luck Transcend 265BH
We purchased a 2020 Transcend 265BH in mid March. We've been waiting over a month to take delivery. It has a broken window that needs to be fixed. On Monday the dealer calls to tell us that part of their roof blew off during a storm and hit our trailer. Needless to say it now needs a new roof skin, has dented siding in the front and back, and may need a new AC unit. All of this has happened before we have even taken delivery!! Now who knows how long it will take to be repaired. And will it be repaired at Grand Design standards. On top of that the dealer was insistent that we needed to file a claim with our insurance company. We fill that the insurance responsibility lies with them. Since this happened while on their property and in their possession.

I agree with livinthelife. If you haven't accepted the trailer yet, it is their trailer to worry about repairing with their insurance. Tell them to get a new one on order for you!

So sorry this happened to you and even more sorry to hear that the dealer is shirking responsibility. Might be well worth the cost of a billable hour (maybe even just 1/2 hour) with an insurance/liability lawyer to find out what your rights are as they vary, state to state.
