Last year we towed our 2018 310GKR across country from Florida to Wyoming in 4 days. We utilized the inverter every day, one lasting 11 hours. We had no issues what so ever. Towing with a GMC 2500 the batteries were never an issue. I didn't monitor the batteries for charge levels but had more than enough to work, slides and leveling system at the end of each day. This winter I installed 2 12 volt AGM batteries so our trip this year will even less of a concern. I would definitely suggest upgrading to AGM or lithium batteries.

I have the Samsung and pull with a 2013 Super Duty. This is my second rv with a residential frig and I have never had a problem keeping the batteries charged. I had three batteries in my 2017 Jayco and two in my GD. I think it's important that the frig is fully cooked before starting the day and don't expose it to loads during the day.

I'm still learning what all the numbers mean, but it only lost a little bit. KEN
Wow, you went from 10 days to 3 hours in just a couple of hours time.

We have two rather large 6 volt batteries tied in to make 12 volts. If we drive for about 8 hours and Boondock for one night our Samsung refrigerator depletes them almost completely. So we had a 6kw propane generator installed in our solitude. We run that for a few hours before we go to sleep at night, so at least the batteries don't go below about 50%.

Just to chime in... High school for me was in the 70's. Its strange the things I remember. At our last reunion about 20 of us remember and recited John 3:16 in French to our French teacher from 45 years ago. I'm getting old....

I also remembered the formula to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius and back again...

    Water boils at 212 F and 100 C. Water freezes at 32 F and 0 C.

    Temp in (F - 32) x 5 / 9 = temp C.

    Temp in (C x 9 / 5 ) + 32 = temp F.

    Just musing...

We ordered the residential fridge option in our new 397. I have no clue on how long the batteries will last, we have not taken delivery yet. My past two trailers had the standard gas/elec fridge. I liked being able to run off propane when boondocking and that was it. I could not stand the RV fridge. Being my new trailer will have the residential unit I will have to do some battery upgrades for boondocking with generator use. Not too big of a deal for me.

We towed our 2020 Solitude 310GK-R for 11 hours Monday with the factory 300w solar panel turned on. The two LiFePO4 batteries were at 100% when we arrived at our destination.

Brian - that's really good to hear. This gives confidence that this solar 300 watt factory option will take care of the residential fridge (even with the freezer compartment open !) and certainly much more I suspect.

Hah! The door didn't open on the 11 hour trip (thankfully). But, I'm really impressed with how well the factory 300w panel keeps the batteries charged while traveling.

    Good info.
I'm having AM Solar put 3 180W panels on our 2018 374TH-R Solitude in July. I have 2 100A Lithium batteries so far and 2 on back order. I will have enough battery bank to stay off grid for awhile with no worries.
We haven't had any trouble with the freezer opening up while traveling.
