Like Happy Frood said - the lose of air when screwing the on (or off) is minimal. Every external TPMS sensor is like this (unless it is the flow-thru type). For me it has been a non-issue (even on the other brands of TMPS systems I had).
Once you initially set them up you don't have to reset anything when you take them off and put them on again (like when adding or subtracting air in the tires). Just don't mix them up as when you installed them you set them to each individual tire.Larry KE4DMG
