It gets ~11 mpg unladen with my foot at CO highway speeds (75-85 mph) and it got something like 6.5 mpg on the way back at the posted limit with a few passes around idiots, which btw is about half downhill and half uphill from Cheyenne to south Denver, probably -1000 ft to the low point north of Denver and close to +1000 ft gained to the north edge of the Palmer Divide where I live.
I left it in tow/haul the whole time, at first limited it to only 8th gear and below, but after watching trans temps (peak of 223f) and knowing the 10 speed is capable of handling temps, I then let the computer do its thing in all gears. I'm guessing it's capable of 7-8mpg with more gentle cruise control usage and/or east of here where highways are more like convoluted 55mph deer trails.

I received a $3000 coupon in the mail from Ford a week ago on purchase of a F250 or F150. And Ford is throwing around a long list of sales incentives including their paying 3 monthly payments and deferring payments 3 months. These got my attention.
I checked in with the dealer, and they came up with 3 different scenarios of Ford's sales incentives which essentially came with 3 different adjusted sales prices.
Last time I towed my 323BHS was when I bought the trailer 5 years ago. It stays in storage at our member owned campground in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The campground moves it for me. So I really don't need my F250 diesel's towing capabilities.
I bought a 2020 F150 STX model with the 2.7 Ecoboost. I'm amazed how smooth and carlike it is. And it's surprisingly quick. Price: $31K fully equipped without sales taxes. Had I gone with the F250 with the 7.3 gas engine, it would have cost me $45K--for a regularly equipped XLT model.
Since I'm not using my F250's towing capabilities I didn't see the need to spend the $. But of course, I'm not the norm on this website. I still have my F250 7.3 diesel.

I recently purchased a 2020 F350 CC 7.3 with 3:73 rear end. With 400 miles on it I drove 85 miles on rural roads with some stop and go in small towns and mostly 40 to 55 mph zones. I got 17mpg on this trip. Coming home I took all freeways with the cruise set to 68. My mpg was 15.7. These are similar numbers to my 2017 F-250 with a 6.2. I’ll be towing my fifth wheel next weekend and I’ll give an update. So far loving the truck and new motor.
