Back up Camping Rig - Old School

This is what you can do when your rig is being repaired and you committed to taking your grand daughters on a camping trip! The orange tent is the sleeping quarters complete with an inflatable queen size bed. I'm sure the insulation is R1 because it slowed down the wind a little bit. The old gray tent is the potty, complete with a canister toilet! We actually had a great time, except it was in the mid-20s at night. There's something very rustic about cooking our meals on a Coleman stove and making coffee in an actual coffee pot. But after five nights, we were ready to go home, and can't wait to get our rig back in operating order.

Cool! We still have all our tent camping equipment. We loved it and I still backpack. Last July my son and I took my 11 YO grandson on a 5 night trip in the Sierras. It was fabulous memories.

Once a year our church has a father/son or men & future men campout that we have to sleep in tents. It's nice to old school it once in awhile - like once a year, not any more than that, lol. It makes you appreciate the comfort and convenience of our rigs.
