Recall Notice. Microwave/Convection Oven

Was wondering if anyone knows if they got the problem resolved with the microwave/convection ovens on the 2020 models? We pick up our new Reflections 29RS tomorrow would like to know before we pick it up.

Rob I hope you'll post here if you get that notice, I'll try to remember to do the same. It would be interesting to know if Canadian customers are getting the same treatment.

Just received my letter today. Call GD customer service and they are sending me the parts to do myself. Should see them in a couple of weeks. Looked on line and it is a very simple, straight forward fix or at least it should be.

Good to see that us Canadians are getting looked after too!!

Same thing here in Maple Ridge, B.C. Also talked with Brian at G.D. Customer Service with the intention of direct shipment for a DIY installation, but was "talked into" having my dealer do the job. I chose that option because, if I am not happy with how long they will quote to do a simple 30-60 minute job, I will just pick up the heat shield and install it myself. There is a very simple video on the GRD4Life website on what all is involved,

Received my letter this week. Am thinking about getting it sent here as it looks like an easy install. Originally planned on going to the dealer but have to work it around a camping trip as dealer is 3 1/2 hrs away. That is if we get camping. Thx gd for finally coming around on this issue.

The hardest part about the install will be supporting and then lifting the microwave/convection oven down from the wall mount after the screws are removed. They recommend that it be a two person job, but other than that, it's pretty straight-forward. I too have mine on the way and will be doing it myself instead of taking it to a dealer. I will get my little tiny wife to help.......or my big strong neighbor, but either way, it shouldn't be more than a 1/2 hour of my time.....including my 10 minute mandatory coffee break that is in my written contract with management (my wife).

It seems like it's mostly 2018ish rigs with a microwave/convection oven and no outside vent.

I have a 2020 Reflection 315rlts with the convection microwave combo, and not vented outside, no recall notification so far.

Pretty sure that they have put the heat shield in units after 2019. If you don't hear from them soon give them a call.
