    2020 Imagine 2600RB axle bearings

Does anyone know the numbers for both inner and outer axle bearings for the 2020 2600RB? I want to pick up an axle pair to carry in the tool box.

    Thanks.

I have the 2020 2670mk and I think it has the same axles as the 2600RB - Dexter 4400 lb. I recently dragged through this with the help of Kris on the 2670mk FB page. Kris had done the job on his 2019 and figured out the Timken Bearing set number equivalents. My TT is in storage so have not verified this. Plan to order bearings & seals today so it would help if someone could check me on this....

Hub-Drum Kit Dexter #K08-407-90 (EZ Lube)
    Brake Size 10" x 2-1/4", 6 Bolt Hub

    Bearing (Inner)
    - Dexter Kit #K71-390-00 or Timken Set17
*Cup: Dexter #031-033-01 or Timken L68111
*Cone: Dexter #031-033-02 or Timken L68149

    Bearing (Outer)
    - Dexter Kit #K71-307-00 or Timken Set6
*Cup: Dexter #031-032-01 or Timken LM67010
*Cone: Dexter #031-032-02 or Timken LM67048

    Grease Seal 1.72"ID x 2.565"OD x 0.500" Double Lip
    - Dexter #010-019-00 (single) or #K71-303-00 (2 pack)
    - Lippert #333960 (2 pack) or #333961 (10 pack)
    - Timken #473336 (single)

Dexter has a single kit which contains parts for one wheel - one inner & one outer bearing, one grease seal and one cotter pin - Dexter #K71-718-00. On their web site store it sells for $46.14 plus tax & shipping. The individual Timken bearing sets are well priced at Summit Racing (Set17 $8.99/Set6 $7.99) or Zoro (Set17 $7.80/Set6 $7.02).

The Timken Grease Seal is available at Summit Racing for $6.99 - Zoro does not carry it. The Dexter on-line store has the seal 2 pack for $16.04 and you can get the Lippert 10 pack on Amazon for $31.00 (although not sure they are actual Lippert parts).

I plan on getting the Timken bearings from Zoro ($50 free shipping) and the Timken Grease Seals from Summit Racing. Walter from the 2670mk FB page indicated that the Dexter/Lippert seals were sourced from China but that the Dexter bearings are Timken. Perhaps somebody who has done the job and seen the markings on the OEM parts could verify this.

Thanks for posting this. Yes those are lippert seals on amazon, I even tested out the easy lube and they held up fine to that. Not that I would recommend doing it that way.

Thanks for the part numbers, I’m about to order Timken bearings to replace my factory ones, it seems the 3500lb axle uses the same numbers.

Also I just noticed you asked about the factory Dexter bearings? They are VNC and say China on them. Here’s one of mine with 2000 miles on them. It was the worst one, I think I’m gonna replace them with some Timken SET17 and SET6

Thanks for the info - I received all my Timken bearings/seals and am going to at least grease the bearings in the next couple of days - depending on how they look & feel, may replace them. Will check the bearing markings. Interesting that VNC is located here in Columbus, OH - they have a full assortment of bearing related parts and custom design bearings. We had a big Timken roller bearing plant here that closed down in the late '80's and VNC started up in 1991. Probably originally old Timken people.

Most Timken bearings are now made in china. Before purchasing the bearing look at to see where it came from. Be careful though a lot of companies put on their packaging boxed in USA. There made in china and just boxed in the USA. Tricks a lot of people.

I heard the 4400# and 3500# axles use the same outer bearing but different inner bearing. Haven't verified it though.

I checked one of the Timken bearings and it was laser etched USA - COO not printed on the box. The Timken seal box says made in Taiwan and the seal itself is not etched with the COO - just Timken and part number.

Just got couple Timken bearings and the 3500lb axle part numbers are SET4 and SET17. They ARE made in the USA.

The OEM bearings on the 4400 lbs axles on my 2020 2670mk were marked UNA-D H312603 LM67048 and UNA-D J3J15P21 L68149. Both marked China. I can't find any manufacturer reference on Google. The seals were marked 010-019-00 Dexter Fusion, Inc. No COO indicated. The bearings looked good so I reinstalled them and saved my Timken replacements for next time. Used the Timken seals.
