How much should disc conversion cost?

Solitude 7K axles but will convert to 9/16 lugs. Plan to have my local shop do parts and installation.
    Thanks!

I went with the Performance Trailer kit and the 9/16 lugs: $2,249.00. Had the son of the new owners do the install for $1000.

I'd think twice about having your local shop do the install. The plumbing and attaching hydraulic lines to the frame and crossing a line under the trailer, and wiring from the actuator into the front storage compartment and into the pin box -- is tedious and time consuming. This installer has done over a hundred installs, and I sat with him for 8 hours. Believe me when I say he was efficient and fast. He knew exactly what to do, and he had all the tools and parts to do the job. $1000 for 8 hours is $125 an hour: really cheap shop rate these days.

If you were to take your rig to MORryde in Elkhart, the disc brake installation would be $3,199 total (parts and labor) for two axles and $4,299 for three axles.

Final bill for me $5000-$6000. My first time I upgraded my 2 axle 5th wheel to 8k axles, 4k hubs, 4k springs and went to 17.5 wheels with Goodyear G114 H rated tires, $6000.

On my new triple axle Momentum I upgraded the 3 axles to 4k springs, 4k hubs (disk brake), Parts were $3737 labor was $1700.
