    Stumped on cleaning

    Hi all,

I hoping someone can offer advice on the kitchen ceiling fan. I am trying to clean it, but don't know how to remove it.

There are four clamps attaching the fan to the electric mount, but they don't seem to move and I don't want to break them.

    Thoughts or advice is appreciate.

Mine just twist 180 degrees, then remove the screen.

It doesn't matter which way you turn them. you may have to wiggle them to get the screen to drop.

The four tabs visible in your photograph will, as @eoguinn has said, turn 90-plus degrees out of the way so that the screen can be removed. A pair of needle-nose pliers makes it easy.

I don't believe that this releases the FAN, which is what you've asked about. We found it sufficient to remove and clean the screen, and while the screen was out we wiped the fan.

    Good luck.

A small allen head set screw holds the fan to the motor shaft. Easy to remove and clean the fan and housing.
