That hydrostar HBA – cam fixed my breaker issue that I had on my new trailer thank you so much for the information I'm passing this information on to the service manager around our location. Thanks again

As a result of this discussion, I asked my dealer’s parts specialist to contact GD to determine the build on my ordered 380FL (new 8k axle with disc brake option) before it arrived, so that I did not run into issues when I took delivery. GD affirmed compatibility issue expected with my 2014 Silverado 3500 factory controller and suggested the Hydrastar actuator adapter, even for the Dexter Actuator. Dealer installed pre-delivery and all is well. Thanks, everyone! On the road 4 days now. Brakes responding perfectly.

Anyone come up with a reliable solution for this? Have a 21 377mbs Solitude w/ Dexter EOH that on last trip connected to a 14 Chevy 3500 brakes did not respond. Now looking at a 21 Chevy 3500 for a T/V and would like to know if anything has been resolved. Thanks

I have same brake setup. I pull with a 2014 Silverado 3500 with factory brake controller. Had my dealer install a Hydrastar adapter on the Solitude - no worries!

So just wanted to update the 2021 model year GM ITBC works with the EOH system and does not throw the Service trailer brake message. I realize that this thread focus is on the older model year trucks, but it appears the system has been properly updated.

FWIW, I have the factory disc brakes that came with the Hydrastar EOH system. I have a 2020 Duramax Silverado and I use the factory brake actuator without any adapters. I do not have any problems with braking or with the system "seeing" the Hydrastar. I did a lot of research on this and was told that the 2020 models should not have a problem with the Hydrastar and so far they are correct.
