My 2019 2800bh is currently at the dealership for my warped pass though doors. My street side door was so warped that it popped itself open while it was parked at my storage lot. The warping caused the corner of the door to crack. My dealer is currently going back and forth with GD to replace them under warranty. Fingers crossed.Click image for larger version.

Boy all I did was mention it when I called about the heat shield for the Convection Microwave. She asked a couple of questions via email, then 3 days or so later let me know that Lippert had approved it. She then asked If I was doing the work or a dealer. I said I was and got it via UPS on Monday - under Warranty (Which ran out April 8th).

Well my doors haven't cracked, yet, but I might just send pictures to Grand Design to at least get an opinion and have it documented for possible replacement. It makes me wonder though, if they replace them with the exact same door, what's stopping it from happening again?

I have asked my dealer to ask GD if it would be possible to 'upgrade' to the 2020 Imagine doors as they are the slam shut design. They seem about twice as thick.

Maybe wait a day or two to see if they approve mine first.

Just looking at dealer photos of units with the newer slam doors, it looks like the mounting screws are now on the outside of the weather stripping. I know with our unit, the screws are on the inside of the door behind the weather stripping, which prevents water from getting to the screws. I recall reading in the forum with earlier models, where the screws were on the outside of the weather stripping and they ultimately let water into the storage area. Perhaps those screws will need to be sealed after installation.

Wrong kind of basement door thread...

I've noticed that the basement doors on my 2020 Imagine 2970RL have a slight warping...keeping my eye on it. I suspect GD using only one center-mounted latch instead of two end-mounted ones are partly responsible for the issue.

I was able to grab some photos of one of our doors this past weekend, there is a warp but certainly not as bad as some pictured.
