Landing Gear / Rear Stabilizer Switch Question

This is the first trailer I've had where the switches for the landing gear and stabilizers weren't either in a locked compartment or had a key needed to operate them. Does this not seem odd to anyone else? It seems anyone could walk by and raise or lower these for whatever reason. Am I worried about nothing?

I don't think it's unheard of to have the switches outside. They're often under the fifth wheel "cutout."

In my case, my campground stores my trailer, and they're the ones moving it around. It'd be a hassle for them to have to find the key on every fifth wheel they move.

Okay, well that's reassuring. I'm probably unduly concerned.

isn't there a breaker that controls them that could be turned off?

No, it's wired directly to the battery--and it doesn't go through the battery breaker switch.

You can put an inline switch for them somewhere.

It is a simple system, just find the hot wire and put a switch in line. I did that in my last 5th wheel.

I own a Solitude 320x. and this is the first trailer I've owned that have the controls hidden. My previous trailer had them in the cutout.

I realize that this is an old thread, but I can't find anything current. I read, and been told that there is an in-line 30 amp. fuse for the legs. I've also read that there is another in-line fuse for the rear stabilizers, and that these are neat the motor. I've peeled the cover off most of the wires up there, and can't find any in-line fuses. Anybody know where they are? Both my switches have packed up, and I'm pretty sure I blew the fuse trying to "jumper" the legs back up.
