Have used Garmin in my boat and they have put out several RV GPS before so you would assume they know what they are doing and what it needed. On our trip from WA to FL we used Google maps, AllStays and Siri Maps, all got us on the wrong roads several times. We always very our route with the Rand McNally truck map, I figure if they say it safe for a semi then it should be fine for our TT.

There is something to be said for too big. I had the 780 and sent it back for several reasons, one of them was it was blocking what limited view I have in my F350.

I have an RV760 and love it. It's old and hard to find, but it has all the right features and it is just the right size. It is still fully supported by Garmin.

    Good morning.
I received an email from grand design’s monthly newsletter #128 in which it recommends the RV Life app for RV specific navigation needs. For those who have used this specific app, what has been your experience when using it for travel?
    Thank you.
    Best wishes.

I like both RV Life and Copilot

Albeit not possibly a concern for your trailer just Be aware the height restrictions in these apps are not comprehensive. I subscribe to another service in LowClearances.com. Much more (100s)locations for low bridges.

The difference is you can import these addl locations into copilot and standalone GPS units. Cannot in the other mobile apps.

As an aside. I don’t see any GPS navigation functionality in Allstays for iOS and Android..Am I missing something?

As mentioned in a post above, we have a subscription to RV Trip Wizard. Around the end of June, got a notification that the mobile RV Life app with GPS was available and installed on my phone. We were taking a trip to a campground here in Virginia that we have been to several times. I know the route well and is interstate nearly all the way, about 1.5 hours at the very most. Opened the RV Life app, put in the destination and our trailer specs. Only "safe RV" option it provided was a 3.5 hour bassackward route on a two lane road that twists and climbs over the Blue Ridge Parkway. Doable, but 2 hours longer than a straight interstate shot? No thanks. Didn't use any GPS on that trip. Haven't tried it since. YMMV. Literally.
