    Checklist

We recently ordered a Reflections 303. Where can I find a comprehensive checklist of things to go over and look for when we take possession of our new rig?

The only thing I can tell you is to go over every inch with a fine toothed comb. Play with everything playable, really give it the once over before you take it home. Take it for a shake down trip, keep a note pad handy and ask lots of questions of the dealership. Our dealership has a great crew and did a wonderful job of prep but they missed a few things. Good luck, we love ours already!

    BobbieT,

Attached is a checklist I downloaded from somewhere on the internet. I am going through it to ensure it covers everything I consider important. I also have started to compile a list from several of the posts on this forum of issues other users have seen. With a little work I should have a great list before my PDI in April.

We found it very helpful to take an ipad and record almost everything that happened on our PDI. It's mind boggling how you think you are absorbing everything but there is so much. I can't tell you how many times we have referred to that video on the road when we first started out! Now, of course, we don't need it so much. But it sure came in handy at first. Good luck and welcome to Grand Design family!

We found the amount of information to absorb at the PDI . . . as well as a similar online checklist . . . to both be "mind boggling" !

So, during the PDI, we tried to pay close attention to the operation instructions for each system and then we focused on looking for dings/dents/scratches/etc that might become questionable as to whether they happened before or after delivery. Floors, counter tops, table surfaces, couches, exterior surfaces, under belly and on the roof. Our logic was that we would not truly understand the fit and function of everything until we had lived with the rig for a while and any problems in these areas would clearly be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We have been back for a few relatively minor fixes and have been treated very well by our dealer. We continue to accumulate a list of (still relatively minor) things that we will ask our dealer to take care of, when we get home and before the warranty runs out.

A small suggestion. Make certain your appointment is early in the day. First appointment if possible. I was extremely disappointed in our Walk Through for this unit. We didn't get started until 7 at night and the guy who does our dealer's Walk Throughs was super tired and practically ran through the process, besides the fact it was raining. After the guided walk through I would suggest staying on the lot for at least another hour going over everything yourself.
