    Remove advertising labels

    Hello,

Yesterday I picked up out new Solitude 377mbs. Beautiful camper, but I don't like the "advertising" stickers that GD has on the outside. I mean the "Keyed Alike" and "Knock Here" stickers. The don't appear to have been applied with a simple peal off adhesive. I would appreciate advice on how to remove them without damaging the finish. I see that some recommend Goo Off or Goo Gone. Is this the preferred way or are there other suggestions. I do not have the full body paint. Since they are placed in such prominent areas, I particularly do not want to mar the finish.

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas!

I remove stickers on our vehicles by using a hair dryer...just heat up the surface (gently) and that softens the adhesive and it will peel off. Don't force it - be patient. Then clean the surface of residue (if there is any) with goo gone and a car wash product.

+3. I agree. Just don't do what I did: use a nylon/plastic scraper. I melts right along with the glue

I use a hairdryer also. Then clean up any adhesive left with WD40.

I took a bunch on those advertising decals off the first day I got my Reflection. They came off super easy.

I removed the GD URL/web site decal off the back of mine when I got it home. I do the same with my vehicles. The decal came off easily.

I always ask the dealer (rv, atv, boat, or cars) to remove the free advertising decals. I tell them that I do charge for their advertising by asking them to knock off another $1k off the final deal.
They always looked at my funny. The DW just shakes her head. LOL

I’ll need to remember that one. They pay for a billboard, they should be surprised at being asked to pay for the billboard that is the back of my unit.

I agree totally. That's why they put them on right away hoping you wouldn't say anything. At least license plate brackets are easy to remove.
