    Spray Port

New 2020 2150 rb owner and preparing for our first venture. I need advice on how to solve the issue of not being able to connect the hose to a spray port. I was in the process of dewinterizing and sanitizing the unit when I discovered I could not connect to the port. The hose connected to the port in the storage area so I am assuming it is a problem with the port and not the hose connection.

Sometimes they can be a bear. Make sure there is no pressure in the system. That may help. I have found that pushing the sleeve back all the way can be a problem then pushing hard on the hose to get it in.

I've had to take something a similar diameter as the port and give it a little tap to loosen it up. Works after that, but can never just connect the hose to the rear spray port if I don't do this first.

Our 2017 2150RB has this same problem. Have not yet tried to force it very hard. Must be a common problem, gonna work on it more this coming spring.

Mineral build-up and corrosion make the darn things stick! I found the best way to avoid this is to regularly connect the spray hose.

There is a valve inside of the spray port connection that gets stuck sometimes. Take a small screwdriver that will fit inside the connection and tap the valve back to reset it.
Then lubricate it to help keep it from sticking.
Your hose should now easily connect to the spray port.

Look inside the port to see if there is any obstruction. I couldn't get the sprayer in the storage area port of our new 2021 2800BH, but it worked on the outside sprayer. I pushed as hard as I could and it wouldn't go - actually cut my finger a little on the hose end metal trying to shove it in. Anyway, I looked more closely the next day and found a very small piece of metal in the port. I removed it and it has worked fine since.

We have the exact same issue on our 2022 2670MK. I was able to winterize it last fall without any issue but when I went to dewinterize the outside spray port in the back, I can't get the hose to connected at all. I actually thought I was doing something wrong. I'll try the tap discussed below.

I find disconnecting a hose from the port is just as difficult. I push the sleeve back to connect and disconnect. Disconnecting usually gets me wet.

It's easier if you shut the water and relieve some pressure before connecting it.
