Oregon Boondocking Closed
Dispersed Camping In Oregon Closes Due To Excessive Trash. All dispersed camping (aka boondocking) in Oregon State Forests is temporarily closed as of Monday, May 11 due to excessive trash and human waste accumulation. According to the Oregon Department of Forestry, the closure may last for several weeks until additional resources can be brought on to sanitize the sites and make them safe for public use again. https://rvlife.com/boondocking-orego...m_medium=email
My Opinion - This is also what happens when RV sales boom and irresponsible people buy RVs and ruin it for the rest of us. This just makes me sick!Steve & Tami Cass - Escapee's, FMCA Members, Texas Fulltimers Since July 2020

I have read that Oregon has a large homeless population. Could this be from these homeless people causing all this mess. Where we are in Florida there is a group of homeless people that go off into wild areas in groups to live and leave a terrible mess.

The article was rather brief, except for the picture that was attached to the article, however the picture didn't look that bad, not sure who they were talking about, homeless, transients, RVers or even if they know who is doing it. I hope not RVers.
Here in Austin seems like the homeless are almost on ever street corner, and living under the raised highways, trash and filth everywhere. Around here they stay in the city to beg money from people.
It just makes me sick when I read stuff like this, people spoiling nature.Steve & Tami Cass - Escapee's, FMCA Members, Texas Fulltimers Since July 2020

What really gets to me is where we are in Florida there is plenty of work. There are help wanted signs all over the place. Most of these people are not that old they could be working if they wanted. Someone saw a homeless girl with a sign her and her kids need to get home. Anyway this person watched her walk away from the corner into wal marts parking lot, climb into a Cadillac abd drive off. I give these people nothing.

Pretty much the same thing going on in Albuquerque. There’s people begging on just about every corner (there’s actually a city law against that but then Albuquerque passed a law banning the police from harassing the people begging #facepalm , but that’s another conversation). I’ve noticed there’s really only two types of people begging. Those that are actually homeless but have a terrible drug problem and those that are just pocketing the cash. The homeless druggies know how much their next fix costs, when they achieve that goal they leave to go get high. The other group gets to the corners around 8 and literally clock out by 5. The homeless druggies do leave a terrible mess everywhere they go though.
We just did some boondocking this weekend and specifically made it a point to not only pick up after ourselves but also pick up trash previously there and leave the site better than when we got there.2020 Grand Design Imagine 2400BH
