    LED bulbs

I'm having trouble finding replacement led bulbs. These are to replace the ones in the ceiling fixtures. They burn out at a rate of about 1 per week. Our local RV supply company can't find anything like the ones in our trailer. Not in any on line catalogs either.

I've had trouble finding replacement bulbs also. I've had 4 of them go out in the last 18 months. I ended up getting the whole fixture form our repair shop. About $16 each. At one time there was some talk about there being a bad batch of lights but I didn't pursue it. Try getting with Grand Design customer service and see if there is anything they will do for you. I also found that sometimes if you switch bulbs from one fixture to another, for reasons I can't explain, they start working.

    Hi @h82bl8,

Thank you for including the model year, brand, floor plan and last 3-digits of your RV VIN in your signature (although I actually would prefer having the last 8-digits! ). Providing that really helps us as we research information for your specific RV... We will be glad to send replacement bulbs to you - please send me a private message (PM) with your full 17-digit RV VIN, name, shipping address and phone number. Also let me know how many you need for the 4" ceiling lights and/or the 6" ceiling lights (as the bulbs are different for each size light on the Solitude 369RL). Thank you in advance...

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

    Hi Andy & Julie (@thompsons 369rl),

Switching the bulbs from one fixture to another may have worked because the prongs had better contact when inserted into the other light fixture assembly.

    Thanks, Janice.

Here's something I've wondered for a while now. Is it harmful to the water heater or related systems to have electric AND propane heaters running at the same time for those instances when you want faster hot water recovery?

I'm not Janice (she is much nicer than I am) but we do it all the time, it is not harmful at all to my knowledge.

As I recall, our owner's manual stated that this was acceptable to do just as you stated......would not think the Solitude would be different that the Reflection. Would check your owner's material to verify and/or wait for "the nicer" Janice to respond.

    Hi Andy & Julie (@thompsons 369rl),

Yes, if you are hooked up to shore-line power or generator-produced electricity you can operate the water heater
    - either Suburban or Atwood - in our units on both gas and electric for a faster recovery rate.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

Just as an FYI on led bulbs. They're usually polarity sensitive so if you install a new bulb and it doesn't work, turn it 180* and recheck before assuming it's bad out of the package. Applies to bulbs with dual contacts on the base.
