    Storing your RV cover

This past year is the first time I covered my RV. I’m taking the cover off tomorrow and trying to decide how to store it. Obviously it’s not gonna fit in the box that it came out of. I saw a YouTube video where the guy placed it in a big trashcan. I had someone tell me that he throws it in the corner of his garage. There must be some better ways.

    Hi Lance,
A couple of thoughts. You want it
    -dry, to begin with
    -protected from sun, dirt, moisture.
You might buy the biggest plastic garbage can you can find and drill some holes in it. Alternatively, you might consider buying a mesh boat cover storage bag from a boat cover company. There are several out there, but we’ve used Boat Covers Direct/Carver.

Ours came with a vented storage bag. We watch the weather for several days before we need it off to make sure it's as dry as possible when we remove it. It can be a bit of a chore putting it in the storage bag but it does work.

We store ours in the original box. Well, we've never used it. Until the recent close down, we've typically traveled at least once a month, often for more than a week at a time. It seemed to be too much work to cover and uncover for us old folks that often, so the box never got opened. It's in the attic.

I store mine in a large Rubbermaid tote with no lid. What ever you do don’t seal it up.

Thank you for all the responses. Right now I have it semi folded sitting in my driveway after removing it from my trailer today. I’m thinking about either a big trashcan or maybe buying one of those storage bins that I can set it up behind where my trailer is parked. I’m thinking with the storage bin idea maybe I could throw a few other things inside of it, besides for the cover, that is trailer related cluttering up my garage. Still kicking it around.

Somehow I was able to get my in the provided cloth bag that came with it and stuck it in my shed. Thanks for all the comments.
