Another thing to consider is door camber. I was going to give a link to another thread with a good explanation but the website link has been broken. Essentially what it explains is the door has an intentional bow in it to keep tension on the latch and weather seals at the same time. Sometimes it's too much as I experienced and the door could only be closed tight when slammed. I would suggest you let the dealer or an experienced tech handle this one. If you go too far adjusting it your out of luck.

Thanks for posting this. This explains why my door was real tight when new and why they would have the door latch adjusted all the way out. As you use the door and loose the camber you still have some adjustment in the latch. I would think the adjustment that this article shows should only be used if the door does not latch or pops open after latching. The warning that if you remove too much camber you have to replce the door tells me that this is not an adjustment to be done on a whim.
