Yes, but the batteries won't get fully charged or charge as quickly. The converter is very easy to replace. Like most things behind the basement wall, it's just difficult to get access to it while you're folded up like a pretzel.

We have a 2018 Solitude 310GK-R. I made a lot of changes to the AC and DC wiring which I won't go into now but wanted to mention that I installed 6 Battle Born batteries behind the rear wall of the front storage compartment. Two are underneath the stairs and 4 are right behind them. I removed the batteries from the front compartment and used that wiring to feed the front 12V back to the front.

Well I order my batteries and the charger.

Another question. I noticed someone above mentioned getting a 300 amp fuse. I did not order any fuse so was wondering if I need one and where does it go?

I was wondering the same thing and was talking to the people at AM Solar. He said the the 300 amp fuse is to protect the expensive inverter. KEN

Battle Born said I should put the 300 amp fuse between the batteries positive and the positive bus bar. I will be pulling my inverter power from the positive bus bar.

Yes, Lithium’s are drop in replacements. No changes are necessary for them to meet your basic battery needs.

They can be charged to a higher voltage and therefore a higher capacity if you have the proper converter. You might only get say 90AH out of them since you would be using the factory converter which is not optimized for lithium. Once you swap it out you would then expect the full 100ah out of them.

Yes do as Battle Born suggested. I bought all of my equipment from Northern Arizona Wind and Sun, they sell most any thing you need. I have my fuse, inverter, and charge controller from the solar panels all mounted on a plywood panel that I mounted vertically behind the water control board. Mine has a larger value but I have more batteries.Click image for larger version.

I have my new lithium batteries in along with the new converter\charger. Everything seem to be fine until this last trip.
When we came home I didn't get a chance to plug in trailer and drained the batteries.
I plugged in trailer and when charging they pulled a lot of amps and kept setting off a re-settable breaker in front compartment.
Current factory connection is convertor\charger to box and then to batteries thru this breaker. Not sure breaker size. Should I connect convertor\charger directly to batteries or change out breaker with a higher one.

    Thanks for all replies.

How about just disconnecting the batteries from the 5th wheel and charge those with a bench top charger to as high as it will charge. Then reconnect and the power requirement shouldn't be so high.
I know this would be a work around and not fix the issue.
