Reef's Camp Cooking - Deep Bend Landing

Deep Bend Landing - a small private RV campground on the Satilla river in Georgia. It's a winding road to get down to the campground but Wow! Look at this huge river front site I got.

For a snack I cooked some fried provolone with Italian herbs and a pinch of garlic. Cooked in my special cheese pan.

A few breakfast cooks from the trip.

When you don't have a toaster no worries. Griddle toast works. Served with eggs and home fries.

Pancakes with peach chunks and a homemade peach mapple syrup I canned last summer.

The star of the breakfast cooks was thick cut French toast stuffed with sweet cheese and lingonberries. A blueberry syrup.

Dinner cooks from the Memorial weekend trip to Deep Bend Landing.

Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese. We put this together a few weeks before the trip then froze it in the ceramic dish. All we had to do was defrost it then cook it in the Furrion oven. I did make an impromptu Orange Habanero BBQ sauce to go with it.

This last dinner I'll post is called a Bronx Bomber. I order this at a pizza place a few years ago and knew I could make it at home. This is a regular meal at the house and I knew it would work good in the Furrion oven.

Made in single serving dishes. Cooked some sweet Italian sausage on the grill. Start with a layer of noodles of choice. Add the sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and a little onion. Cover with sauce then cheese and cooked in the Furrion oven.

This trip I wanted to really try out the basically useless Furrion oven. Mine seems to be running about 50* colder then what's set on the knob. This oven wouldn't work for roasted chicken and such but keep things in casserole dishes and cookie sheets it seems to do the job.

See you next trip in June.

The site and food look great. Definitely a place to keep in mind if I ever get back to the East coast.
