2014 Slitude 305RE lack of heat

Real problem with heat, or lack thereof, from furnace.
Only two heat vents on island to heat the whole living area. One in bathroom, bedroom and basement. so Five in total.
There are SIX vents with nothing attached under the counter and stair, obviously return air vents are necessary but really - 6 of them??? or is there ductwork missing?
The duct work in the basement resembles a demented octopus!!! twists and turns, no straight run, except in the basement ceiling where the heat pours out and is almost too hot!!
The result of this mess is that the furnace runs constantly without ever reaching a livable temperature of 70 deg. It took 3 hours to get from 32 deg to a pathetic 52 deg when we were heating it up in order to load the unit for a trip. It never got above that temperature. The LP gas runs out and the batteries ( 2 x 6 volt) can hardly keep up. The heat pump wont work below 40 deg so that was no use, and the generator we have won't run the 15K BTU unit anyway and nor should it be necessary.
What were the engineers thinking??? Do they expect that the unit is always connected to shore power???
We dry camp a lot and so it is a real enough problem that, unless a solution can be found, we will be trading in (at a $$ loss) for another make!!!!
This is a very sad state of affairs as we love this 5th wheel.
Please come up with a resolution!!!!!!

Though not a solution to your problem completely, the fireplace does a real good job for heat. I don't know how much power it draws, but I would imagine even a small generator could handle it.
Hopefully its just some ductwork issues to fix it right. Good luck.

Penbrian, Silver Springs SP is 5 minutes from our house, have never camped there. In Winter months you "Snowbirds" have it full all the time. And as of now, there is no swimming there, which makes it off our list in summer! Now that the state owns it, they say they are going to open a swim area, so one day we'll camp there. We kayak there some, beautiful water and sights! Enjoy it.
