Sounds like a heck of a truck.
I also have the Banks torque converter, and shifting module.
Don't know if it makes a diff, but must ??

I would say that the Banks torque converter along with the Trans command module is what is helping your transmission live longer. I haven't had good luck with the stock 7.3 converter with increased power + heavy loads and a heavy right foot. The exhaust brake will kill them fast if the torque converter isn't locked up tight while braking. That's a good package on your truck!

    Thank you.
I'm going to be looking at something like this.
Waaaay cheaper than a new F450.
Maintaining is going to be more, but less in the long run.
A nice big diesel motor will not work as hard as a little 6.7l.

That particular rig sold for 19k !
Lasted only a few days on the market.
Register it as an rv, no special license.

If you're going to tow heavy and frequently, those are the way to go. They are made to tow heavy first and foremost, where even a 450 or 550 F-series has it's limitations and creature comforts come before towing. The drivetrain, brakes and suspension will all hold up better and last longer on a rig like that vs any pickup truck. Even when $hit hits the fan and you need to work on it, it's a whole lot easier to work on since the front clip flips forward- no lifting the cab off the frame! Not for everyone though and not something that you could really daily drive when not towing (dependent on where you live).

I wouldn't buy it as a daily driver, but I could.
My single axle tractor I drive at work every day, turns way better than my Ford !
Wife and I talked last evening, and the Hummer is going down the road, and the Ford is going to replace it, as the boats tow vehicle.
