Hitch lifting
I just upgraded to a 385GK from a KZ. I also changed my hitch from an Anderson to a Companion. Mainly because of my pin box is the Rotaflex. I will miss the light weight of the Anderson that is for sure. Since I have a short box I decided to go with the massive slider hitch. This morning I had a little fun getting some things together to make a lifting point for the Companion. I have seen them out there for about $80 but most of this I had laying around the shop. If I bought everything new I have $22 into it and I also get to do a little welding. Next will be to build a boom off of a 2” receiver to lift it.
The hitch in the pick is my neighbors.

What is the purpose of the flat washer? Looks like the shoulder of the QH adapter is taking the load. Looks nice.

Nice. I'm guessing the washer is strong enough to support the hitch.
Anyhow - now I want a tractor!!!!! Forget my hoist!Larry KE4DMG

I take my hitch out (Curt Slider) by rigging up with a ratchet strap on either side, hooked to my chain hoist connected to the rafters in the garage. I then just drive out from under it. I built a mobile cart to set it on to move it around out of the way. I do have a Kubota that I never gave a thought to using. Might just have to consider that for the future too!
