I pulled the fireplace and plugged a lamp into the socket and the lamp worked, so I'm guessing the fireplace has kicked the bucket.

Just unplug the 30 amp RV cable from your house
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
Plug the RV back into your house

If your lights work then your converter is operating properly because the converter will be supplying the DC voltage to your trailer. If your lights don’t work your converter is NOT operating properly.

It's confirmed the converter is a goner. Waiting for GD to call me back with part numbers. I guess this is something I can do myself with the help of an electrician.

Would this be the part I would need? The converter distribution center?

What you need from GD is the brand and model number, not the part number. With the brand and model you can buy it from Amazon. The only place the GD part number will do you any good is if you are going to order it from your dealer. Dealer will be more expensive and who knows when you will get the part. It is probably a WFCO 55 amp. Someone in a previous response included a link to Amazon for them. Just make sure you order the correct converter if you buy from Amazon. You asked if there were better converters out there. Probably yes. Some people hate the WFCO converters, I would have no idea what other converters are available. If you replace with exactly the same converter then it would be a matter of pulling the old one and putting in the new one. Others may have suggestions on converter replacment options.

Hey guys, I am reading a few of these threads about converters and I see there are some upgrade options that are better than just replacing mine with the same exact one? Anyone know what they are and why they are better?

That's the exact one I bought, but like I asked above. Is there a better one I should get? After reading some things on here, it seams like people are upgrading these one's to a better one? This is what I saw that will match up with mine: Progressive Dynamics PD9160AV Inteli-Power 9000 Series 12 VOLT RV Converter/Charger - https://www.amazon.com/Progressive-D...1054030&sr=8-1

WFCO and Progressive Dynamics converters are similar. WFCO tends not to go into charging mode of 14.4V.

The PD9160AV doesn't include Charge Wizard Pendant, just a connector to plug one into.

The PD9260CV is 60A capacity and includes the Charge Wizard that allows setting the PD9260CV to 14.4V charging mode for awhile to help charge up the batteries faster like when recharging from a portable generator.
Both of these converters are for the standard lead acid battery(s) the trailers come with.

So the one I linked to can't use the charging wizard? What is the difference between the one you showed and that one? I was about to order the one I have linked with the charging wizard as well and the voltage lcd.

I did some more research. I now have 3 converters on the way LOL. I have to send 2 back and keep the 9200 with the dongle thing and the voltage monitor. Thanks for the help!
