    Is this a roof vent?

    Surveying my roof for solar panel layout options , I found a low profile PVC port that I can't identify. The cap is slotted on the rear and it is over the stairs so it doesn't penetrate to the basement. Is this a roof vent? What keeps insects out of my attic.

    I think thats an attic vent on the right and plumbing on the left.

    Yes, there is probably another on the roof somewhere.
