Boondocking

I just went to an rv show and saw the solitude x series 5th wheels. I really like the way they felt, looked and size. Do you or would you take your grand design to Alaska or do some "off road" with it? Maybe just some BLM gravel/dirt roads?

I'm sure there will be lots of Grand Design trailers making the trek to Alaska. Probably already have! I know you couldn't get me to take this trailer out in BLM land out here in the desert at least. Did that with my last trailer one lousy time and it rattled so much stuff loose going over a wash board dirt road I was so pissed off. It took forever to get all the sand out of every little nook and cranny.

But my opinion certainly doesn't mean many people will. Everyone uses their stuff different. heck, Grand Design makes some awesome toy haulers and you can be certain many, if not most, of them are heading out in to wild, BLM areas.

We have been to Alaska in our Solitude 369RL and are currently boondocking on BLM land. We've had no problems.
