Vynyl Flooring not glued down - Glue a patch or just seam seal?
Hi there, our 29rs flooring is not glued down. I am doing a patch repair. Should I glue the repair patch down or just seam seal the patch. Which product would you recommend?
Thank youBradley & Glenna

For floating vinyl, I have had very good patch success, by measure of long-term durability, using a seam tape on the underside and seam seal on the top. However, the pros will tell you to butter the edges of the flooring around the edges where the patch will go with adhesive and then butter the patch, set, and roll at all edges toward the patch to keep seams tight, and then seal the seams. I never found the magic of keeping the edges clean of the adhesive mastic with the pro method, hence my preference of tape.
