Goodyear G614 vs Goodyear Endurance Tires

Mostly curious, as I am confused ... if the Goodyear Unisteel G614 RST tires are touted and advertised so much as trailer tires, then why are they classified as LT (light truck) tires. Why doesn't Goodyear class them as a ST (Specialty Trailer) tire. I thought sidewalls on ST tires were stronger than LT tires. So, if I have made up my mind on Goodyears for my 5th Wheel should it be:

Unisteel G614 RST Light Truck tires

OR

Endurance ST 235 Specialty Trailer tires ?

The Endurance is getting a great reputation already. I put them on my 5th wheel and boat trailer. My son put a set on his boat trailer. They are made in America and seem to correct the problem of "China bomb blowouts."

Of those two, I would pick the G614 but that's just me. Others will disagree.

I think the Goodyear Endurance tires are only available as an E rated tire. The G614's are G rated. The Endurance tires have a great reputation but for a Reflection 337RLS with a GVWR of 13,995, I would run G rated tires. The Sailun S637 is also a highly regarded G rated tire.

I put G614s on my 337RLS. It was between the Sailuns or the Goodyear’s. The Sailuns would take 2 additional days to arrive but the Goodyear’s were available next day and I was going on a 1000 mile trip in 2 days.

Both of these are G-rated where the Endurance tires are E+rated.

The G614s were the gold standard at the time.

I don't know much about the newer Endurance or Sailiun tires. I have been using the G614's for many years. They are just a good heavy duty tire.

Well, I wouldn’t say their tires got political, rather the policies they are implementing.

Companies like Goodyear, Starbucks, Target and others are making it pretty clear that if you don’t tow the politically correct/woke line/narrative, they don’t value you as an employee. A few years ago, the Starbucks CEO essentially said, if you’re conservative, we don’t want your business. Seems Goodyear may be on the same track.

If they choose to step into the political debate, some, maybe even many, will voice their support/opposition using their checkbook.

Some companies just don't get it. If you criticize something and call for a ban of it, regardless of what it is You probably just alienated half of your customers.Not a good idea. If you are going to ban something like messages on clothing ban all of it people can understand that.
