    GM's Echomaster Camera System

Does anyone have the GM Echomaster Wireless Camera & Receiver on their rig. I have a Reflection 337 RLS and it seems the wireless camera is to far from the Silverado 3500's receiver to get a signal. Echomaster/GM told me to get an "2.4 GHz Off Board Extender" but I can't find one to mount to my rig. Does anyone have any ideas?

Had it and ripped it out and replaced it. I don’t have a high opinion of it to say the least. Can’t help with your specific question though. Sorry.

The factory mount is for a Furrion camera. We have one on the back of our 303RLS and it has no problem.
Fords trailer camera is hard wired, at least GM is stepping up in technology.

I recall reading the GM camera system that sees through trailers will not work with 5th wheel trailers.

I have the Echomaster mounted on my 320G. The 320G had the Furrion mount. I bought a Furrion to Haloview bracket. I removed the Furrion mount. Four holes drilled in the bracket and the Echomaster camera bracket was mated to the adapter bracket. It works fairly well. It is interfaced with the stock 8 inch display in the dash. My TV is a 2017 GMC 3500. Occasionally the image will cut out. I am looking for a slightly longer antenna on the camera to see if it will improve the consistency of the signal.

    I am happy with it.

I had the Furrion camera on my last 2 trailers and it was so so at best, liked to freeze up a lot. This is the Ford hard wired camera kit now on the Solitude and MUCH better picture and nice to have on the dash screen. Click image for larger version.

That's a much nicer picture than I get on from my GM echo camera (I still have the cameras, just changed out the unit). I don't get much behind the trailer at all if I have it adjusted to see the rear bumper

Yeah I think hardwired is the way to go, seems to be a better resolution and no worry about dropping the signal. It's probably 55+ feet from the camera to the dash, long way for a Bluetooth signal to travel.

Thanks for sharing. This is the setup I am considering along with the tpms system. That said does the camera work only in reverse? I would love to have a rear view mirror view so to speak when traveling to see what is behind me on freeways, etc. I've read it only works in reverse which is better than nothing for sure.
