Do you have the answer
I have a question. I picked up my 380TH on Friday and had the "walk Out", or what you might call the "show Out" where they show you how everything works and such. Lucky for me this is my 4th Trailer so i was more informed than he was. I did discover when i got home and put the slides out and did my own walk around on the outside and under, and discovered a couple of things I am not sure about.
On the driver side slideout, i noticed a handle that looks very much like the waste tank handles. this handle is connected to a long rod that goes to what looks like a drain, but there is nothing on the inside, it looks like it is under the pantry, that would drain. does anyone know what this is before i call the dealer.
Second. I found the spare, but didn't crawl under to it. Can anyone tell me how you get it out?
I appreciate the help.

That pull is to drain the fresh water tank. One feature I really like as it is much larger than most trailers provide.
There should be a crank handle (actually 2 handles) in one of the storage compartments. One is to lower your spare and one is to manually crank the slides if the electric mechanism goes on the fritz. There are holes in the skirt on the slides for these. One on each slide for the manual slide crank and one on the curb side slide for the spare.

Speaking of spare tires . . .
GD loads these with the valve up . . . Dean told me this was to protect the valve from potential road hazard damage.
I turned mine over and it fits just fine that way too.
I figure I might crawl under there once in a while to check spare tire pressure if the valve is accessible.
Much less likely that I would lower the spare on a regular basis to check pressure.

I don't think I received a crank to lower my spare. I looked everywhere and never found one

Maybe one crank handle now fits both applications ?

Rob, I never found any crank, for slides or spare. I don't remember seeing one when we did our PDI. And, I never thought to ask

I don't think there is a way to crank the slides in manually on the 380TH as it has hydraulic rams to push the slides out.

LC,
You can lower the spare if you need to with a wrench on the same hex drive that the extension handle goes on to.
I actually have to do this because the access hole in the skirt does not line up with the drive that lowers the spare.
GD advises that my 303 has the wrong skirt piece. It's on my list of non-critical warranty repairs to get done when we get home.
