Yup. I run my fridge off an inverter while traveling between rv parks. So the day before a trip I run the fridge on gas to cool it down. After that it runs on my lithium batteries or park ac. The fan runs throughout all...

Don't forget to kill the battery before doing your wiring!

I installed 2 fans on the top vent of our 303 recently. The trailer is parked in frt of the house all closed up. And yesterday afternoon the temp inside the trailer was 99 deg & the refrigerator showed 33 deg.
So it seems that the extra fans are doing well to keep the temp down inside the fridge.

Thanks for sharing your experiences awf100. Did you have room inside the upper vent for the fans? Or did you have to cut the vent cover for your install?

I had to cut/hack the baffle to clear the fans. The baffle is wood in our trailer so it wasn't to difficult to do.
I zip tied the fan assy to the vent cover. The fans don't weigh much so the zip ties will work.

My other question is why the black tin diverter, above the coils is A, not flipped over to direct air out the vents, and B, it is just laying on the top of the fridge above the coils and i can push it up to the ceiling exposing the insulation around the top of the fridge. Also, it seems to me that this could let any hot air coming up towards the fins to just go right into the insulation and open area of the fridge. Seems to have it sealed up would help.....
Since your top compartment is just like mine, I'm really paying attention to what you do. Are you feeling you are going to get better exhaust of hot air by putting the fans on the grill than by putting them at the baffle board at the coils?

If put close to the coils, it looks like you are pushing that hot air in the compartment to exit on it's own. If put at the at the vent there are not a lot of holes for it to force exit. I do like the way you angled yours down.

Since I'm using 3 individual fans, what do you think about this. One at the top coils, one on the vent door (like you did), and one in the bottom compartment blowing up?

I received my digital temp controller:

    https://www.amazon.com/bayite-Fahren...3635333&sr=8-5

It works great, and it's going to be perfect to control the fans. It can be set for 1 to 25 degree differential from desired temp to turn on/off.

Very kind..... I just stare at it for a while until something pops into my mind and then mod as necessary. Still have to figure out the black tin piece....think I will flip it over so the airflow is more circular up from the bottom and curving down to the fans...

I'm sorry, but I got lost in the discussion. What two fans did you install and was that attached to the top vent cover of the frig?

I used the same fan kit as the OP and installed in the top vent cover.
There isn't enough room between the vent cover & the baffle, so I cut out a section of the baffle for clearance.
Since I posted the post you quoted, we went on a trip where the temps were in the mid 90's and with the slide out. The temps were 33 at night & would get up to 43 in the afternoon.
