How to shut off low point valve

We had our 2019 311bhs winterized for the first time last fall. Now we are finally able to get out. When I look up city water and set all the valves water just runs out the low point drain. How do I shut that drain? I am new to this and the dealer is not open until tomorrow morning.

I also have the 311 and I took off the caps and put on this to make draining it easier come winter.

That is what I was thinking but was not sure. I will go find some valves. Do you know if there is something to plug on the hot water heater? Thank you.

I have never done anything with the hot water heater other than empty it before winterizing. I winterize & de-winterize mine and the only thing I do with my low point drain is open them up before I winterize to get any remaining water out and then close them up for the winter.

I replaced the factory low point plugs with these pex valves. They work great.

You want full access to the hot water heater, I wouldn't block the drain plug off with a valve. Periodically you should give the water heater a good flush to remove sediment, even more important to do if you use no water filter. The tool to do this is inexpensive especially when compared to having to replace the water heater.
