Open the AC vents or close them
Open the AC vents or close them? Is it more efficient to use only the in-celing racetrack, or to also open the slide vents on the AC unit?

Agree, dumps open for fast cooling and then close them for maintaining as it allows your 2 or 3 units to share the work better. Oh, if you're set up like ours, you can only use one side of the dump in the bedroom because the other dumps the cold air on the thermostat causing it to short cycle. I'll relocate it one of these days.
